We made a batch of two hundred of these items, some time ago - sliding window catch for a Kawneer Sash Window and these are the last of the batch. They are going out to the customer today and will solve the problem of insecure windows - the original catches were zinc die cast and now of an age that they are failing.
If you need some of these, please give us a call on 0116 2742195, we are based in the East Midlands and ship all over the UK.

Sliding stay knobs.
Sorry about the lack of posts, been really busy!
Here's a job I did a while ago - knobs to clamp down on a sliding stay.
Simple enough but essential to keep the sash where you want it.
If you want to go here, you will see another job we have done - window pivot housings.

Lightfoot Windows Crouch Hill.
Lightfoot Windows, of Crouch Hill, in London, closed their doors for the last time, at the end of July.
I have put up a post about this, on my other blog - sad times.
Lightfoot Crouch Hill Now Closed
They will be sorely missed by many contractors in the London area - another specialist gone. : (

Teleflex Clearline Ratchet Handle
As one of our specialities is Replica Parts for Windows, this was one of those things that had run out with no means of acquiring any more - The Teleflex Ratchet Handle.
Used on the Siding Sash operator and in areas where it is difficult/impossible to get a full 360 degree rotation.
This is the original unit, shown with extension tubes we made at the time, which is a moulded plastic, that over time has become brittle, which leads to failure.
These are the the replacement units, Aluminium - powder coated, with Stainless Steel and Brass components - if you are looking for any of these, please give us a call on - 0116 2742195.

Crittall Door parts.
There must be thousands of these still around!
This was something different to do - 1930's flat in London, the doors were in good order but some of the parts for the locking bolts were missing or broken.
We were contacted by Landseer Design & Innovation, of Solihull, West Mids and asked if we could help out on a job they were working on in London.
These are the parts we made for them.
This is what they looked like, when fitted on site.

Cavendish Hardware at The Fit Show
Well, after 13 years absence, we finally went back to the NEC - the exhibition was The Fit Show and covered three halls. Our stand was small but attracted a lot of visitors.
Lots of rare, unusual and oddball parts for windows, were on display and there were several images of previous projects, on the rear display board.
Hi to anyone who dropped by our stand - nice to see you, hope we can help you with something.

Coals to Newcastle - Steel Window Beading to New Zealand!!
Coals to Newcastle is a well known saying but we can now add "Beading to New Zealand" - our first ever order shipped out to NZ!!
This was done back end of last year and involved my joinery skills (little used these days) to fabricate a packing crate. Quite enjoyable, for a change and I was very happy with the result - which is more than I can say about the photography!!
This lot made it all the way to Auckland, for a refurb on an old installation at the Fish Market.
